Great Britain 1847-54 Embossed Issue 6d. mauve, cut square, touched at places, used with imperf. 1d. on 1854 (6 Mar.) envelope, ex the Brocklehurst correspondence, from Derby to Macclesfield, , endorsed "Registered" in red, "242" barred oval cancellations of Derby; filing fold affecting but adhesives but fine and believed to be the earliest recorded use of the 6d. embossed.
