Great Britain 1841 Two Pence Blue Plate 4 NA-NC horizontal strip of three (NA shifted transfer), close to very large margins and showing portions of three adjoining stamps at top, tied on 1853 (21 May) entire, addressed to Trieste, by Irish "303" cancellations, endorsed "Registered" and "8" in red crayon, blue Limerick c.d.s., red "Crown/registered", "p." in oval, red framed "recomandirt", arrival d.s. on reverse; fine. Registered covers to foreign destinations bearing only stamps of the 1841 issue are very rare. Karl-Albert Louis Certificate (2006) stating "The combination of paying the postage in cash and the registered fee by postage stamps also very unusual and is recorded by me on only one further cover....".
