Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate II MD, close to large margins all round, tied by an orange-brown Maltese Cross on 1840 (20 May) envelope addressed to Durham with handstruck "1" (deleted and replaced by black manuscript "1") and Paid datestamp, both in red alongside, endorsed on reverse "Not known in" with red Durham c.d.s.
