Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate II AB, a marginal example from the top of the sheet showing part inscription "bel. 1/- Per Row o", good margins on other sides, placed sideways on entire letter from Newbury to Oxford and tied by a superb strike of the red Maltese Cross, the reverse showing "newbury/ju 13/1840" and "oxford/ju 14/1840/a" c.d.s. in black and red respectively; a fine and most desirable entire.
