Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate Ib AB, from the top of the sheet, with part imprint, just touched at left with large margins other sides, tied on 1840 (22 Aug.) entire letter from Landrake to Dublin, neatly tied by red Maltese Cross, the upper right showing superb strike of the rare "Landrake Penny Post" two-line handstamp in black, the reverse showing devonport/aug 23/1840 double-ring c.d.s. and arrival c.d.s. in red; horizontal filing crease, otherwise very fine, attractive and rare.
