Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate Ia EL, large margins, used on entire from Liverpool to London dated 17th May (Sunday) 1840, neatly tied by bright orange Maltese Cross cancellation, the reverse showing matching "liverpool/my 17/1840" double-ring datestamp and London arrival mark in red; slight soiling and minor creasing, otherwise a fine and desirable example of the rare second Sunday usage.
