Blunt 102; cf. N.325; S.908), slight edge loss between eleven and two o´clock, good metal, very fine / good very fine, very rare type Estimate £ 1,200-1,500 provenance Found Etchilhampton, near Devizes, Wilts, March 2010 Recorded with the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, EMC 2010-0173 This is the fourth recorded example of this moneyer for Offa. Ludomon is also known for the earliest issues of Coenwulf placing this coin to the last year or two of Offa´s reign. The reverse of this coin is the only example reading lvd/omon, the others all reading lvdo/mon.
