x Dorset Rifle Volunteers Other Ranks Helmet Plate c. 1878-83 A good quality die-stamped bronzed brass example being the crown over a Bath style cross the arms of the cross with the following legends: "Dorset Rifle Volrs" plus a Roman fasces on the bottom arm of the cross in the centre a circle "Pro Patria" enclosing a strung bugle horn, three loop fasteners; together with a good quality two part blackened helmet plate to the 19th Surrey Rifle Volunteers being a crowned eight pointed star with applied title circle "Surrey Rifle Volunteers" enclosing a strung bugle horn with XIX within the strings, two loop fasteners (2) Estimate £ 60-80
