Brady 9th Lancers); Army Long Service & G.C., V.R. (1427. L.Cpl. W. Brady. 2/Life Gds.); Royal Humane Society, small bronze medal, successful (Trumpeter Wm. Brady, 2nd. Life Guards, 9th. August. 1888.), with integral bronze riband buckle, contact marks and pitting to first, nearly very fine or better, scarce (4) Estimate £ 550-600 1427 Trumpeter William Brady, born Nottingham, 1854; enlisted as 1718 Private in the 9th Lancers, December 1874; served with the Regiment in India from January 1875 to April 1883, and in Afghanistan, March to June 1879 and October 1879 to December 1880; Lance Corporal, December 1879; transferred 2nd Life Guards, September 1885; awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal for saving life at Windsor, 9.8.1888.
