F.); Korea 1950-53, 1st ´Britt: Omn:´ type (19036024. Rfn. R.J. McCormick. R.U.R.); United Nations Medal for Korea, extremely fine, together with a comprehensive file of research, including several photographs of the recipient´s grave (3) Estimate £ 1,000-1,400 19036024 Rifleman Robert James McCormick, born Belfast, 10.3.1928; employed at Harland and Wolff as an apprentice driller; called up for National Service and posted to the Royal Irish Fusiliers, 1946, and served with the Regiment in Palestine 1946-48; transferred from the Reserve to the 1st Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles, 1950, and served with the Regiment in Korea, arriving at Pusan 5.11.1950; killed in action at ´Happy Valley´, Chaegunghyon, 3-4.1.1951, and later buried in the UN Memorial Cemetery, Pusan. Total casualties suffered by the Regiment in Korea were 50 Officers and men killed in action; 12 died of wounds or in captivity; and 32 missing.
