Estimate £ 40 This English company built a sandstone dam across the river in 1908 to provide power for its sandstone quarries. Sold to Minnesota Power & Light in 1923. When power became too expensive to generate at the site in 1963 the company gave the dam and 200 acres of land to the State and it became part of Banning State Park. in 1991. The dam was removed in 1995.
