Estimate £ 50 This company was the British branch of the French film company Gaumont. Gained independence in 1922 following Isidore Ostrer´s acquisition of the majority of shares. The company´s Lime Grove Studios produced Alfred Hitchcock´s 1935 version of The 39 Steps, and The Lady Vanishes in 1938. Acquired by the Rank Organisation in 1941.
