Great Britain 1840 Mulready A selection of twenty (including two fronts) penny and twopenny envelopes and letter sheets, the 1d. selection including unused letter sheets A1 and A4, unused envelopes (2) A166 and A181, two used letter sheets (A242, A255) from the same correspondence from Rickmansworth to London, neatly cancelled by black Maltese Crosses dated 25.5 41 and 22.6.41, another example from Kircaldy to Sheffield cancel by superb red cross dated 8.6.40, two pence envelopes including unused A197, A198, A199, A202, A208, A210, unused letter sheets including A99, A94 showing manuscript "Cancelled" and "inland revenue/june.23/69" d.s., the used including A95 from Carnarvon to Shrewsbury uncancelled; also including two large part fronts cancelled by Numbers 4 and 7 in cross (Ex Yates); condition mixed though a most interesting selection.
