India Used Abroad 1866-1926 collection of covers from the Persian Gulf area, outgoing and incoming and comprising items relating to Bandar Abbas (8) with "buader.abbas" duplex, "B" in bars with c.d.s. and one with Postage Due handstamp completed for 1a., two in transit through the Persian P.O. at Abbassi and two via Bandar Abbas with one censored; Bushire (41) with 1868-73 incoming (7) three with single-ring datestamps in red (both with letters touching circle) and black, 1870´s "bashir" duplex, 1879 very scarce registered cover franked at 6a. with "bashir" duplex an registration handstamp below, squared-circles with 1919 to Bombay with "bushirf" error 1879 (c.) with "postage due" handstamp completed for 4a., a few via Bushire, three with Persian Exchange Office of Bushire, three with Persian Exchange office at Duzdab; Dubai 1922 to Bombay bearing 1/2a. pair with single-circle d.s.; Jask 1892 squared-circle and 1915 postcard headed "Jask Persian Gulf" with part c.d.s.; Mohammerah with three covers (two incoming) and three pieces (one with manuscript registration name in label); Muscat with two late Q.V. incoming from Bushire; condition a little mixed as to be expected though an interesting and unusual collection Estimate £ 2,200-2,500
