India 1865 (June) 3 1/4oz. envelope (222x95mm.) from Madura "via Marseilles" to England, bearing 1865 1/2a, and 4a. black (12) cancelled with "139" duplex, underfranked and showing various rate computations together with boxed "insufficient" and circular "more to pay", all on face, the reverse with two unusual partially negative seal seal transit marks in red together with Deficient and Fine rates in manuscript; a few small faults, as to be expected with and item of this size, though attractive and most unusual. Also two further envelope, ex the same correspondence, from Dindigul, franked at 6a.8p. and 13a.4p. Estimate £ 180-200
