Charles II (1660-1685), Half-Guinea, 1669, first laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, edge obliquely grained, 4.19g [64.7grns], 6h (MCE 92; EGC I, 284; Spink 3347), striking softness and rub to hair, with some cabinet friction in otherwise residually lustrous and peripherally rose-gold toned fields, about very fine, the reverse pleasingly so, the very scarce first year of issue
