Cape of Good Hope - Boer War Mail to and from Prisoners of War 1901 (27 Feb.) envelope (opened-out) registered from Rhodes to a P.O.W. in St. Helena, bearing 1/2d. green and 6d. lilac cancelled with c.d.s. and showing manuscript "Registered No 40" at left and arrival c.d.s. (12.4) below, the reverse with Barkly East (2.3) c.d.s., Cape Town Registered oval d.s. (date unclear) and manuscript "Passed Press Censor"; the envelope with edges strengthened at top and at right though an attractive and unusual incoming registered franking to a P.O.W.; 1901 (Mar.) envelope from Alfred Docks to Diyatalawa Camp, Ceylon franked at 1d. and showing superb "censor/belle vue/prisoners of war." cachet in violet, 1901 (Aug.) mourning envelope from Winburg to St. Helena, bearing 1/2d. (4) and showing circular "censor/prisoners of war" h.s. in violet, and 1902 envelope from Klarkstroom to Ahmednagar, India bearing 1d. with c.d.s. and showing censor label and triangular cachet, arrival c.d.s. on reverse; a few small faults though an interesting trio to overseas camps Estimate £ 120-150
