Cape of Good Hope Covers and Cancellations 1885 (6 July) envelope from Graaf-Reinet to New York, bearing 1d. carmine-red vertical pair and 2d. bistre strip of three all lightly cancelled "20" and with despatch c.d.s. alongside, "2 1/2d" accountancy handstamp in red below, the reverse with Cape Town (8.7), London (31.7) and New York (10.8) d.s., all the adhesives with perfs. cut off along one side though an attractive franking, 1/2d. overpaid; 1903 (18 Apr.) envelope from Kowie West to Milwaukee, bearing 1902-04 1/2d. and 2d., both placed sideways and sharing single c.d.s., Grahamstown c.d.s. (19.4) on reverse, and 1910 envelope from Johannesburg to Berkeley, California bearing 2d. bistre in combination with O.F.S. 1/2d. cancelled with "transvaal" machine d.s. and used in the Inter-Provincial period Estimate £ 100-120
