Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues Fraudulent or Unusual Usages of Line-Engraved Issues 1842 (13 July) entire from London to Falkingham, bearing a much degraded 1841 1d. which obviously shows signs of previous use, it was not accepted for postage and showing a black "2" over a "T.P/Black Friars Rd." mark at left alongside a Folkingham double-arc d.s., alongside the adhesive is a superb strike of the very rare black "O S" (Old Stamp) in double-ring frame; fine and most appealing. Very few of these covers are known as they were usually destroyed by the Post Office or the police after a trial. Photo
