Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate III PA, large to enormous margins (showing portions of two adjoining stamps), on neat clean entire letter from Lincoln to Boston dated 3 May 1841, tied by light strike of the black Maltese Cross; fine and very attractive. The interior content being a printed circular from the "Lincolnshire Topographical Society" advising members of the Annual Meeting and that "Several Members and their Friends propose Supping together after the Meeting, at the City Arms Hotel".
