x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1840 (20 Aug.) Spooner´s caricature envelope number 1, used from Dublin to Trim, bearing 1840 1d. plate 1b, ML, margins virtually all round (mostly very large, just clipped at upper-left) tied by light strike of the red Maltese Cross, the reverse with red Dublin despatch d.s.; light pressed creases and small strengthened tear at top though both well clear of the adhesive and in no way detracting from this fine, clean and most attractive example.
