ST. VINCENT Early Letters and Handstamps 1803 (8 July) entire letter to London, marked "p Montreal", rated "1/8" and showing oval-framed "Ship Letter/Crown/dover" h.s. (Robertson S.6) with red arrival c.d.s. (4.10) on reverse. The contents include "St. Lucie and Tobago are in our possession, the former with the loss of 130 men killed and wounded, the latter without a shot being fired. We have 4 French brigs in this harbour, prizes 1 with gun powder and brass artillery 1 with dry goods and provisions 1 with 215 new negroes and 1 with French Troops.". Photo Estimate £ 300-400
