Pontifex bust left, rev. the Pope standing before the Altar of the Throne in St. Peter's Basilica proclaiming to the assembled court the Doctrine; above, the Blessed Virgin attended by angels in the clouds, the radiant Holy Spirit at top - considered one of the most attractive Papal medal reverses. Bartoletti 856, Spink 2280. Very small edge bruise. Extremely Fine.
