1867 (25 Feb.) entire from St. Pierre to Marseilles, bearing well margined 5c. pair and 40c., the latter somewhat oxidized as occasionally encountered, paying the single rate with French packet involvement, tied by "mqe" lozenges, despatch c.d.s. at foot, "cor.d.armées/lig.-b-paq. n° 1" c.d.s. on back denoting the carriage of the "Nouveau Monde", which diverted to Fort de France on 26 February as a result of the cholera in St. Thomas; the addressee's name partly excised.
