1864 (27 Oct.) entire letter from St. Pierre to Philadelphia, bearing 5c., 10c. and 40c. strip of three, complete to huge margins, tied by the "mqe" in lozenge of dots, entering the British Agency with Martinique double-arc datestamp on reverse, showing a similar postmark applied in transit at St. Thomas, charged "1/-" in purple manuscript due to the British P.O., on arrival in New York a black "steamship/10" being applied on front.
