1870 (24 Oct.) entire letter from Paris to St. Pierre, bearing 1867-68 30c. pair and 1870 10c., tied by "5" dotted stars and posted at the Rue de Bondy with corresponding c.d.s. at right, carried by the "Vaubin" which left Paris on 26 October and landed near Verdun, subsequently posted at St. Nazaire on 7 November with corresponding c.d.s. on reverse, alongside showing "ligne b/paq. fr. no.1" c.d.s. and then embarked on the "Floride" which left St. Nazaire on 16 November and arrived in Martinique on Christmas Day 1870. Very slight vertical crease through the 10c. not detracting. A very rare and fine Ballon Monte usage sent to a very rare destination. Signed Goebel. Maury 30, 36; €22,500. Photo
