S.G. #18b, 1907 ""1/2D"" on 5/- Salmon and green, double surcharge, an exceptional example of this rare surcharge error, showing two very distinctive and well displaced surcharge impressions (several of the known examples have the double surcharges almost on top of one another making the error difficult to see), quite well centered, fresh rich colors, o.g., trivial horizontal bend not mentioned on either accompanying certificate, very fine; a total of only 20 examples of the double surcharge have been recorded, and the example offered here is among the most distinct and striking of this tiny population; signed E.
