Russia Empire delightful specialized collection of 19th and early 20th century mint and used singles, sets, blocks and multiples, a wide range of cancels, many covers and postal stationary mounted on quadrilled pages in three binders, starts with four used examples of the 1857 10k first issue, three with certificates, then used 1858 10k-30k, 1858-64 1k-30k and 3k strip of three on piece, 1863 5k used (2), several early used entires, 1865 issue covers to Mexico, and a three color franking to Paris, 1866-70 issue covers to Bordeaux, Paris, Marseilles and Niece, plus a three color franking cover to Athens, 1884 mint 3.50 R signed Buhler and Bolaffi and 7R, used 3.50R signed Mikulski and 7R with Buhler certificate, 1906 10R mint, later issues mainly in multiples showing marginal markings as well as many varieties, the overall quality is excellent with only the occasional small fault noted, mainly o.g., l.h., n.h. or used, fine-very fine; an attractive and desirable lot that is a pleasure to view.
