1852-C Gold Dollar. NCS AU Details, Obverse Repaired - Scratched. Variety 7-H. The obverse surfaces have been reworked to smooth numerous scratches that existed to the left of the central portrait. Several light scratches also remain evident on both sides, but are not overwhelmingly burdensome to the appeal. Interestingly, the one in the date is repunched and a small abbreviated dash exists below the base of the 1. With only 9,434 minted, this piece remains elusive and desired in all grades.
