Jesup as President, steam train passes large house, further vignette at bottom right, black, red underprint ´$1000´, impressed revenue stamps, with coupons, hole cancellations, 2 of which pass through signature, good very fine. Estimate £ 50 Morris K. Jesup (1830-1908), capitalist and philantropist. Made his fortune in banking in New York and retired in 1884. Major benefactor of the American Museum of Natural History.
