George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1725, stops in obverse legend, second laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6.01g, 6h (ESC 1184; Bull 1599; Spink 3649), a minor flan flaw through Irish harp and corresponding area of hair, otherwise a bolder very fine, a scarcer date with attractive blue toning to reverse
