George I (1714-1727), Half-Guinea, 1717, first laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, six hearts in Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 4.17g, 6h (MCE 265; EGC I, 432; Spink 3635), lightly contact marked and brushed on obverse resulting in matte fields, otherwise imposing and uniform for type, small die breaks in legends, the reverse warmed by orange hues, a pleasingly bold very fine, rare, unencapsulated, and formerly certified NGC holder, UNC Details ~ Saltwater Damage (Cert. #4679302-005)
