Richard II or Henry IV (1377-1399), Edward III Post-Treaty / Richard II Type III Mule, Halfgroat, Tower, + EDWARDVS : REX : ANGL : Z : FRANC, saltire stops, lombardic Ns, crowned bust facing, rev. + POSVI DEVM : A-DIVTOR-EM MEV, saltire stops, CIVITAS LONDON, reverse-barred Ns, long cross, trio of pellets in angles, 2.15g [33.2grns], 10h, m.m. cross pattée (Doubleday 659 same obverse die; Stewartby IV, 1197 same obverse die; North 1324 [1290/1323]; Spink 1684 [1640A/1683]), a superb example for type, lightly toned on a full flan clearly struck with a Post-Treaty Period Edward III obverse die and a reverse die of Richard II, latterly suggested by Greenhalgh to have been struck in the reign of Henry IV after the reopening of the mint in 1407, of numismatic interest thus
