(x) Harold II (January-October 1066), 'PAX' Type with Sceptre, Penny, 1066, York, Outhgrim, + HAROLD REX ANGL, crowned head left, beard of two rows of small pellets, in front a sceptre tipped with a quatrefoil of pellets and a further pellet at bottom and middle of sceptre shaft, rev. + OVÐGRIM ON EOF, commencing at 11 o'clock, across field and between two pelleted lines, PAX, within beaded inner circle, 1.33g [20.5grns], 2h (Hildebrand -; SCBI 9 [Oxford, Part I], 1119 same dies; SCBI 18 [Copenhagen, Part IV], 1293 same dies; SCBI 21 [Yorkshire], 691 same dies; SCBI 52 [Uppsala], 642 no die link; SCBI 54 [Stockholm, Part V], -; SCBI 66 [Norwegian, Part II], -; North 836; BMC I [Coll. no. 17]; Spink 1186), weakly struck in places, otherwise handsomely cabinet toned, about very fine, the reverse better and richly accentuated in recesses
