Harthacnut, Regency Period (1035-1037), 'Jewel Cross' Type, Penny, Spring-Autumn 1036, Bath, Æthelwine/Ælfwine, +HARÐA-CNVT RE, commencing at 12 o'clock, diademed and draped bust right, rev. + ÆGEL'PINE ON BAÐA, NE ligated, quadrilobe cross extending from central pelleted-annulet, 1.10g, 2h (SCBI -; North 809; BMC I; Spink 1167), slightly undulating flan, the mint name a little blundered, otherwise well toned with a pleasing bold portrait, good very fine, evidently excessively rare, only two examples recorded for Bath on SCBI/EMC, neither from this moneyer
